For live pursuits and proposal-stage decisions

Shape and defend a technically credible opportunity

A live pursuit needs senior solutioning, proposal architecture, or technical challenge before a client or commercial decision.

What should we propose, and can we technically defend it?

DUNNIXER works alongside the pursuit and client-facing team to turn an active opportunity into a feasible, defensible solution position. This is especially relevant when a technology service provider needs senior technical capacity for a consequential pursuit without adding a permanent role.

What DUNNIXER does

DUNNIXER works directly with the people shaping the decision or delivery path.

  • Review the opportunity, client need, decision timeline, and available pursuit material
  • Clarify requirements and test solution options, assumptions, dependencies, and delivery feasibility
  • Develop or strengthen the proposal architecture and technical response
  • Prepare the technical position for internal review, client discussion, and solution defense
  • Carry accepted assumptions, decisions, and risks into a usable pursuit-to-delivery handover

What you receive

The final set is matched to the live situation, while keeping the core decision artifacts clear.

Solution position

A decision-ready view of the proposed solution, its rationale, and the important tradeoffs.

Scope and assumptions

Explicit boundaries, dependencies, constraints, and unresolved questions for proposal and delivery decisions.

Technical risk view

Material feasibility and delivery risks, with evidence needs and actions rather than false certainty.

Defense and transition pack

The working artifacts needed for proposal review, client discussion, and a controlled transition if the opportunity proceeds.

How the engagement works

The sequence follows the decision in front of the team and leaves a usable record when DUNNIXER's role ends.

Understand the pursuit

Confirm the client need, decision window, required technical contribution, available material, and people involved.

Shape the solution

Test what is known, surface what is not, and develop the solution position and proposal artifacts.

Prepare and defend

Work with the client-facing team through review or discussion, then capture decisions and remaining risks.

Hand over cleanly

If the pursuit proceeds, transfer the solution position, assumptions, dependencies, and delivery considerations.

What we need from you

  • Access to the pursuit lead, relevant subject-matter experts, and decision-makers
  • The client brief, RFP/RFI, discovery notes, proposal material, and current architecture where available
  • Known commercial, procurement, confidentiality, delivery, and timing constraints
  • A route to resolve material questions with the client or accountable internal team

What good looks like

  • A solution position the pursuit team can explain and technically defend
  • Explicit scope, assumptions, dependencies, tradeoffs, and unresolved questions
  • Material delivery risks visible before commitments are made
  • A usable transition record if the opportunity moves into delivery

DUNNIXER's role

DUNNIXER can own or strengthen technical discovery, solution shaping, proposal architecture, feasibility testing, estimates and dependencies, and technical defense. Responsibilities, decision rights, client access, confidentiality, and delivery interfaces are agreed before work begins.

The engagement can draw on Technical pre-sales, Solution architecture, Feasibility and delivery-risk assessment, Specialist technical input.

Included in the role

  • Active-pursuit discovery and requirement clarification
  • Architecture options, feasibility, assumptions, and tradeoffs
  • Technical response and solution-defense support
  • Delivery-risk, dependency, and transition considerations

Outside the standard scope

  • Open-ended bid support outside an agreed scope
  • A guarantee that the opportunity will be won
  • Delivery ownership that has not been explicitly scoped

Is this a fit?

  • There is a real pursuit, proposal, RFP/RFI, or feasibility decision.
  • A decision date or intervention window is known or can be established.
  • The technical role, outputs, working relationships, and delivery interfaces can be agreed.
  • The provider or client can supply the evidence and access needed to test assumptions.
